Some history of this documentary          November 2000        December2000        March to May 2001

Getting Back in the Gym --January/February-- By Bill Morrison

Ok... I admit it, I've been slacking a bit. I haven't updated this documentary as This picture was taken around the middle of February, where I weighed 218lbs.much as I was going to, but the truth is that I had a big 'reality check'. I know, I was going to throw all the excuses out the window in November, and train harder than ever, but I've been really busy with alot of other things going on in my life, including trying to spend as much time as possible with my family, and build a new house, all while working too many hours.

I did manage to basically do a maintenance workout schedule where I was able keep all the gains I had made in November and December, and even make some slight gains.

At this point my size is about the same as in December, at 218lbs and my bench press is an easy 350. I haven't really been training super heavy until last week, when I really felt the urge to start training hard again.

Right now, I noticed that my back is coming along the slowest of all my bodyparts, and I plan on focusing more attention on it. Also, due to having Crohns Disease, I'm having more problems than I used to gaining weight. I had a section of my intestine removed 2 years ago, and have had problems gaining weight ever since. I also see in the pic of me above that my right pec still seems smaller than the left. Probably due to lack of use of my right arm for 6 months last year after the ligament surgery. Here I am bench pressing the 120 lb dumbells. Wish we had bigger dumbells....

Here's a pic of me on the flat bench pressing the 120lb dumbells. At this point I'm doing 8 reps, and begging the gym management to get some bigger dumbells.

I've been shoulder pressing the 100's for 8 to 10 reps, but still haven't been able to do the 120's yet. My goal is to be doing them by the end of March.

I won't update again until I have some big gains to report, which should be in March as I'm loading up on the creatine and protein powder again, and have began eating every 2 hours until I'm so full I can't move!!

Just a little quote to share with you. My workout partner, Ken, who's now 250lbs with 19" pipes, after a long layoff as well(should have based this article on him!), said to me the other day while grimacing in pain and adding another 25 lbs per side on close grip bench press:"Most guys would quit lifting with this kind of pain-- But we go heavier!!"

Go on to March to May of Bill's Comeback Documentary.
